Review: Colossal Volum' Express® Mascara

So. I bought this at the dollar store instead of the "Falsies" one that I was thinking about getting - they didn't have it. Anyway, I saw that this one is like, the forebearer or what have you, so I thought it'd be good.

I wanted to try a non-two-step type, to see if the results were just as good. The packaging said it had "9x the volume," supposedly meaning the volume of your natural, normal lashes. 

It did pretty well (pics below), but I had to put on three stinkin' coats, lol. Few clumps, just like it says. It did seem to make my lashes a tad longer than the previous kind I have been wearing for years - the XXL by Maybelline. I was beginning to think Maybelline was letting me down, haha.. and that it was time to move on. I don't know for sure if my lashes are long, short, thin, or thick, but I know that they're nothing to write home about, haha. I love as much lash as I can get, when I'm in the mood. So.. so far, I think this is a decent mascara, but I would still love to try the $20 and up kind - designer lashes, if you will :) Especially DiorShow. Thoughts?

Why and how does this happen? Why does such hollowing heartache happen to such good, loving, well-meaning people? How can a best friend become such an estranged, sickened enemy? Why does this happen, and how to prevent it, if at all?? Why me, where did it..?

I never meant to, honest. I never thought this would happen.. but it did. And I am glad to be free yet am holding back because.. because of, "I cry myself to sleep at night.." And I am terribly saddened at having caused this pain yet am ready to.. ready to..

Tomorrow, I'll be ready.. for someone is expecting me to be. And I smile slightly at this one sane thought.

At Work..

Hallo. Am at work. I was busy answering questions on Yahoo! Answers, lol. See, I kind of have an addictive personality, especially when it comes to anything that involves points. Like this app I am trying that is free, it's called MyTown. Lol. Or getting hooked on a game. Or finding a new brand of clothes that I like. Idk what it is about me.. lol, but I know I'm not alone. Anyway.

Possible date Wednesday. And this weekend. Uck.. I am too addicated to online dating. Makes me worried. Again, a perfect example of my addictive personality. Ugh. I am on like, 3 or 4 (free) sites and I am headed off to school soon (IF all goes well), so there's a chance that I might meet someone anyway, but sill, I pursue these things.. meh. I don't know. But then again, I don't see how I could meet anyone at school - I never have before. I did go to a small, boring school, though.. Both in high school and college. So maybe this will work out? I hope so.. Lord knows I need someone who is within my proximity! All I have had so far are what they call LDR's - long distance relationships. And when you don't drive, that makes it a little bit harder, at least. So meeting someone at school would be a blessing x1,029,385,764 lol! Perhaps. But I just always leave it to God.. makes life lots easier. And also, the ladies at church.. ya never know I guess. -_- Anyway, I don't know how well this Weds. thing will go.. at least he is into music. Has a degree, but not in music. Still, he works with it every day so.. eh. We'll see. More later. [Please subscribe!!]

Fake Nails 'n Schtuff

Yay! So I did my nails today, got the package in the mail from eBay. Soo excited, haha. 2 French mani sets for LESS than the price of one in the drugstore! Ha. $15. Hope it lasts. The person (from Cali) mailed it though in just a simple cardboard envelope.. lame. Acrylic powder on everything, but it wasn't so bad. Oh, I need to leave feedback. But yeah.. looks good. Although it is remarkably similar to what I could do on my own in a fraction of the time with just nail polish, haha.. yes, I have perfect that art! But this should last longer than polish, obviously. The way it comes off in the shower, yuck. So icky, lol. But anyway. I did my homework and looked at little tutorials on YouTube and the internet.. so that helped. Here is the finished product - unfortunately, I forgot that my camera was down here (and not upstairs) so I didn't grab it during the process to take pics like my friend recommended :-/ Here you go:

It wasn't too hard at all, but it took me all freakin' day! I feel like I wasted today, AND I got up at 9:00! Boo. Sad me.. lol. Anyway. I also sang at church, was fine. But I guess I shouldn't have worn that skirt but it wasn't that long! The hem was let out too. Boo on you guys. Haha. The ladies want to matchmake, lol.. we'll see how that goes! A nice Catholic boy, lol. Only thing is, I'm super picky with looks. I think, lol.

Late Night and a Romanian

Haha.. so I've been doing this pen pal thing for a while now. Just about all summer. It's neat, and going fine. So I'm on this website (highly recommended, btw) called http://www.penpalworld.com/ . I was just looking around, and for the first time, I was looking for male friends. I mean, not that I'm looking for anyone special, I just thought that since I'm single now, I can do such things, haha. Weird, I know. Anyway! I added a few friends, people I thought "worthy" to talk to, and I got a few replies. One of them stood out, and we quickly emailed back and forth. Long emails, details, very pleasant :) Witty. He was born in Romania and moved here as a kid. Jeez.. deja vu much for me? Lol, don't ask. He says ppl from there typically are fair, but he isn't.. and I like it!

So then I had this idea of, hey, his email address is Yahoo, so maaybe he is on messenger. I typed in his name to add, and sure enough, there he was! Haha. But he was dealing wth some stuff at work (hospital) so we didn't talk for a few minutes. But once we did, we didn't stop til like, 1 in the morning! Haha. Crazy.. I guess we had a lot to talk about. Of course, one of those subjects is like, a common area of human interest, and I won't mention it :) But we have a lot in common intellectually, of course. I love when things flow with someone intellectually, and you don't have to force it. Or worry about their smarts. Love it, ha. He says if I ever came to Chicago (yes, it is far unfortunately but not impossible.. so I don't know that we will ever  meet, especially since I don't drive!) we would have a whole day dedicated to food :)  That would be very cool, having all kinds of ethnic foods.. it was funny, he said if I ever showed up at his door with rasmala, he would marry me. Lol.

He has also said that people sometimes think he's gay. Ha! - sounds like my previous boyfriends. I like guys that dress well, what can I say? I'm picky in many ways, lol.

So.. that's that for now. I was supposed to go on a date today with someone else but he's sick :( Dunno..

The Art of Faux Nails

So I've been  toying around with the idea of acrylic nails for a few days now. (Once I get an idea in my head, I become obsessed with it!!) And I thought I might give it a whirl before school starts - I would have to have pretty short nails to play the stupid (I repeat, STUPID) piano.. so I never messed with fake nails after middle/high school. But it's killing me now; I really want to have pretty nails - that last. I'm also reading reviews... This one looks ok:

Walgreens -- Kiss Complete Kit   

I'm really looking for a kit that has primer in it, because the cheapest kits at the drug store don't have it. I have done lots of homework and found that you need a few essential things to keep acrylics that last. Here's a starter list (from that site):

• Nail Tips (French, Natural, etc.)
• Acrylic Liquid  / Monomer
• Acrylic Powder 
• Acrylic Primer (note: I didn't use this bc I didn't have it)
• Dehydrator (didn't use this)
• Sanitizer
• Nail Glue
• Acrylic Brush
• Buff Block (4-way)
• Dappen (Nail) Dish
• 2-Way Nail File
• Manicure Stick (cuticles)
• (Optional) Apple Fresh Acrylic Liquid Masking Formula .07oz - just a few drops masks the potent odor of Acrylic Liquid

Mascara, Anyone? And Eyeliner

I was thinking about buying a new one. Also eyeliner.. I'm out. I like the twist-up kind, smudger optional. (I never use it; finger works just fine).

Advice would be great!
