Nails Again -n- Schtuff

So I decided to do my nails again, after taking a break from them for about a month. I also edited this in Picnik. Why? Because I can't help it!! Haha.

Sure, they're a hassle. And it's hell trying to text. So why do I do it? Cause it looks good, hehe! I know, girls are dumb.. but eh, what are ya gonna do?

Oh, update on the girl at work: well, when I next worked with her, she wasn't nearly as bad. Still, not friendly. I don't get it - how can some people just NOT be friendly, or smile? I mean, I'm shy but I still have a pleasant tone of voice when speaking with others, and I most certainly don't give them mean, nasty looks. Oh, and when she is somewhat nice? It's when an adult says goodbye, have a nice day!! She's all, "Byee, you too!" -_- Wtf, haha.

Now I'm off to study French. I'm pissed that we have so much due this week. Why can't these things be spaced out??

Fake Nails 'n Schtuff

Yay! So I did my nails today, got the package in the mail from eBay. Soo excited, haha. 2 French mani sets for LESS than the price of one in the drugstore! Ha. $15. Hope it lasts. The person (from Cali) mailed it though in just a simple cardboard envelope.. lame. Acrylic powder on everything, but it wasn't so bad. Oh, I need to leave feedback. But yeah.. looks good. Although it is remarkably similar to what I could do on my own in a fraction of the time with just nail polish, haha.. yes, I have perfect that art! But this should last longer than polish, obviously. The way it comes off in the shower, yuck. So icky, lol. But anyway. I did my homework and looked at little tutorials on YouTube and the internet.. so that helped. Here is the finished product - unfortunately, I forgot that my camera was down here (and not upstairs) so I didn't grab it during the process to take pics like my friend recommended :-/ Here you go:

It wasn't too hard at all, but it took me all freakin' day! I feel like I wasted today, AND I got up at 9:00! Boo. Sad me.. lol. Anyway. I also sang at church, was fine. But I guess I shouldn't have worn that skirt but it wasn't that long! The hem was let out too. Boo on you guys. Haha. The ladies want to matchmake, lol.. we'll see how that goes! A nice Catholic boy, lol. Only thing is, I'm super picky with looks. I think, lol.

The Art of Faux Nails

So I've been  toying around with the idea of acrylic nails for a few days now. (Once I get an idea in my head, I become obsessed with it!!) And I thought I might give it a whirl before school starts - I would have to have pretty short nails to play the stupid (I repeat, STUPID) piano.. so I never messed with fake nails after middle/high school. But it's killing me now; I really want to have pretty nails - that last. I'm also reading reviews... This one looks ok:

Walgreens -- Kiss Complete Kit   

I'm really looking for a kit that has primer in it, because the cheapest kits at the drug store don't have it. I have done lots of homework and found that you need a few essential things to keep acrylics that last. Here's a starter list (from that site):

• Nail Tips (French, Natural, etc.)
• Acrylic Liquid  / Monomer
• Acrylic Powder 
• Acrylic Primer (note: I didn't use this bc I didn't have it)
• Dehydrator (didn't use this)
• Sanitizer
• Nail Glue
• Acrylic Brush
• Buff Block (4-way)
• Dappen (Nail) Dish
• 2-Way Nail File
• Manicure Stick (cuticles)
• (Optional) Apple Fresh Acrylic Liquid Masking Formula .07oz - just a few drops masks the potent odor of Acrylic Liquid
